....WESCO ELECTRICAL COMPANY began operations over 35 years ago in the automotive field, manufacturing paper dielectric capacitors for ignition applications. OEM contracts were held with major Automotive Firms such as Chrysler and American Motors. When the distributor in the auto was replaced by electronic ignition, Wesco gradually phased out their automotive line in favor of Electronic Film Capacitors.

....SPECIALIZING in precision close tolerance film (polystyrene, polypropylene, polyester and polycarbonate), Wesco concentrated on the DC filter market in the early sixties. This activity led to military business and subsequent qualification approval for capacitors in accordance with mil spec Mil-C-25.

....MARKET DIVERSIFICATION was accomplished in the late sixties, by concentrating on accounts in the Telecommunication, test equipment and power supply industries.

....CURRENTLY Wesco is housed in a metal fabricated one story building totaling close to 20,000 square feet. This facility is located on three acres of land. Both the land and building are owned by Wesco. Annual sales is in the vicinity of 4,000,000.00 dollars. Employees number about 60. The Company is privately held by the President and CEO, Mr. Robert H. Kugell.

...QUALITY has been a major factor in Wesco's growth and acceptance in the electronics industry. We are in the process of becoming ISO9000 compliant and will seek certification in 12 to 18 months thereafter.

....NEW PRODUCTS include: thin film metalized polycarbonate (1.5 micron thick) for 35VDC and lower applications; Specially processed metalized polypropylene capacitors to handle high current in switching power supplies and other low ESR applications. Wesco has also recently introduced an Interference Suppression Capacitor for across the line and line to ground applications.
